How to configure Starlink with a third-party router
A Starlink dish provides a direct WAN IP Address downstream, connecting a router directly to the Starlink dish will provide a WAN IP Address via DHCP, no further configuration is required for a Starlink dish to work with a third party router.
If using the Starlink mesh Wi-Fi router, you will need to configure the Starlink router in "Bypass" mode, AKA Bridge Mode, this will force the router to forward all traffic instead of acting as a router, this setting can be found in the Starlink app settings.
It is best to not use the Starlink Wi-Fi router when possible if working with a third-party router. However, it may be required if using a residential Starlink service.
To access the Starlink app via a third party router, a Static Route will need to be created with the following information.
Name: Starlink
Distance: 0
Destination Network: 192.168.100.0/24
Type: Interface
Interface: WAN
With the above static route in place, you will be able to access the Starlink app and web-management interface normally via the app, or via web at 192.168.100.1 or https://dishy.starlink.com
